Loving my tiny cell..

Assalmualaikum

Alhamdulillah, it is a dad's dream to finally own his own house in Istanbul, and guess what? My eldest brother just bought a house just next to us. Haha! Guess everybody is living in Istanbul for good ea? Alhamdulillah, hmm  thinking to buy one too..tu nanti kita cerita, now lets focus on the room decor.

There are still ton of things need to be done but im taking a break for few days, seriously, it was my first time (dulu pindah umah bawak baju je) and it was extremely tiring. Nasib baik boss bagi 2 days off.. hehe :)

Here are some photos but as i said earlier its not fully done..

Red and White- perfect combination

The beautiful view from my bedroom window

I cant bare to look at that white clean wall, gotta put up something!

Organize your cosmetics!

Finally i can see  all my shawls, scarves, inner and belts very clearly

Aha.. no no.. Gucci's place is defntly not in my room or other rooms. Her area is just a small corner at the balcony.. (oh at least u have a place girl.. rumah lama takde, so jgn bising) Haa siap ada 'bungalow' for her to lepak and chill ok. haha.. She seems  happy with her new place and always look up and down watching people walking, moving trees and birds flying from the balcony. (harmony feeling la kononnye)

Welcome..

Happy Gucci

Ok, thats all for now! thanks for reading!

Lets Decor with Cik Yam - Built-in / Storage

Assalamualaikum

As i was saying earlier in my previous entry that i was busy cleaning and pack things up for the new house, let me share the progress of the deco project.. chewah.. hehe

Ok, i have always love built-in furniture, its defntly one of the way to save space in a small area. Since me and family living in a small house, i use every inch of space there to make it functional and it helps to get more organized by adding new storage behind blank walls. Barang banyak, rumah kecik.. built-in is the best solution. Lets transform the dead zones into some functional space.

Ok I'll start with the balcony, aha yes it is a balcony, can you see the compressor down there? haha ok sabar pls.. this space is halfway done ok, i'll figure out something to cover the compressor (thinking of a net). lets focus on the built-in first. But before that, just so u know that we decided to fully close our balcony with tinted glass coz  we are living in a 4 season country so during winter we can still lepak at the balcony to enjoy the view. So i use the balcony area as storage area during the winter season, some equipment that is not use during winter, i will put away in the balcony and same goes to other things like mop, pale, cleaning cloth, detergent etc. Add to that, i also got a multipurpose stool which can be used as a place to relax and enjoy the outdoor space.

We seldom use the aircond, the wind is quite chilly even during summer

From the balcony we go to the kitchen, nothing much on the kitchen cabinet because it comes together with the house, but need to add up at some empty areas and walls to make it more useful. Next to our dining table i have put a shelve for coffee and tea making. See the basket? Inside the basket i put a small white pot that i bought in Ikea (they are flower pots actually) but i put all the instant drinks instead. neat tak? ( oh well, it feels when u get to hold dad's debit card to buy stuffs  for this new house. He trusts me. He trusts my taste) Haha! (Sumpah takde commission okeyyy.. i do it coz i love to do it)

Ok now, lets organize the dining table. Instead of placing on your table, condiment wall rack is a great choice to keep the dining facility looking presentable. It can holds bottles, and can accommodate a few key things ketchup, sugar, salt, pepper (those commonyly requested items and malas nak bangun2 kan) depending on ur type of meals. Place it at your eye level so u can see easily and within reach.

It looks empty tho, but to me it looks clean and neat, (barang belum banyak lagi, tunggu la ada kicap, sos bagai.. haha) and next plan is to hang something (maybe mirror) above the rack..

For the rooms, built-in wardrobe can only fit in the master bedroom, another 2 rooms are quite small so me and my brother are getting normal size wardrobe (probably from ikea- sebab depan rumah jer, senang) As usual, i prefer mirror sliding door for the wardrobe to make the room looks bigger. nothing else.

Sorry for the messy arrangement, tengok la sape yang susun tu.. kalau tak supervise memang pakai letak jerr.. adoila abang.. haha

Aha, its my room. Coming soon... :)

Ok, guess thats all for cik yam's deco. Will update soon when everything is ready! InsyaAllah will moving in this Saturday. Thanks for reading ladies! Stay tuned for more updates. !

Lets Decor with Cik Yam - Curtains & Kitchen

Assalamualaikum

Ive promised that i will share about the interior design in our new house but this Mawar thingy kept me busy and i didnt get the time to update. So the other day i was out with mom looking for nice curtains materials for the whole house. As usual, i got to make the decision on the designs and the material. Before i finalize everything, i need to put few things into consideration. Which are:

1.The house is small (placing the curtain track and the fabric design)
2. The hall are facing the sun rise and the lights come in like its Hari Raya! (terik wey) (Fabric and material)

So lets go tru one by one..

1. Small house - placing your curtain track is freaking important. Based on my previous experience in decorating a small house (cheh macam pro lah) , i like to place the curtain track up near the ceiling (the highest it can reach). Why? Always keep in mind that placing ur track higher will add height to the room/living hall and obviously it makes your room/living hall looks dramatic, cozy and elegant (ha gitewwww). Secondly, the design is also important, macam pilih baju la, kalau gemok jangan la pilih jalur melintang(unless u are confident and never complain that u look fat, like me), so choose a slightly less designs on the fabric. pleaseeeee avoid heavy patterns which will create a feeling of less space defntly will make the area looks crowded (tarik nafas)

2. Since our hall is facing sunlight which it will fade out the curtains,we need to avoid dark and bright colors coz they will fade faster. Earth colors like beige, gray, off white, are the perfect colors for us!

Ok, the curtains are ready.. lets check 'em out!

My tiny room

Curtains and sheer are just like 'U' and 'I' at the keyboard that always be next to each other. So jangan pisahkan mereka ok! As for the hall and my room, i chose sheers with some glitters on it, so bila malam macam bling2 sikit and it will give sense of brighter room. Konon la (bukan maryam la kalau takde bling bling kan) Kitchen takde heavy curtain, just light weighted sheers will do, sebab nak masak kan..dah la masak melayu ada belacan bagai.. haha.

As u can see the kitchen is ready, i managed to find white dining for the kitchen i want it to be blend in with the wall and floor and of coz no other reason besides making the area looks bigger. We gotta save some space to move around! At first, i suggested to put a kitchen island but mom said we need have two set of dining table (one for daily use (4 seater), another one for guest (6 seater)) that would be placed in living room and kitchen. So ke laut la kitchen island tu.. haha (takpe rumah sendiri nanti must have!)

Well, i guess thats all for now about curtains and kitchen area, next project is the home lighting.. i need to look some nice chandeliers, table lamps, wall lights (maybe). So will update once everything is ready ok?Stay tuned!

Thanks for reading!
